Our Vision is to open Agape Housing Estates for the chronically homeless

We are looking for 3 to 5 acres of land with existing roads and services to site.

On the property, we will build 100 tiny houses. Six houses will be two-room, fully equipped for families, and held in a separate fenced area for short-term accommodation. We will provide three months of accommodation while we help the families find mainstream housing.

The other 94 houses are the size of a single room, basic with a bed, mini fridge and kettle, wardrobe and lounge. Outdoors will be a little patio area for outdoor seating.  The toilets/showers are in a caravan park style, and the living areas/ kitchen are communal. This is permanent living for the chronically homeless (long-term with multiple needs).  The facility has supported living with on-site life coaches supporting clients with relationship issues and addictions. Access to coaching, counselling, and other services will be provided daily, as well as security at night.

All residents are required to participate in supporting the venue, performing a role suitable to their abilities. This could range from tending a vegetable garden to cooking and cleaning. Involvement inspires ownership and belonging, two very important things that are missing on the streets. Residents will also be encouraged to join in on-site learning, ranging from woodwork in the men’s shed to cooking classes in the kitchen.

Using rescued food and sustainable living, we believe that we can provide housing, supported living, electricity, and three meals a day for less than $200 per week. With each resident paying rent, the estate is sustainable.

The long-term goal is to prove to the government that it is cheaper to house the homeless and support them 24/7 than it is to leave them on the streets and to provide a model for setting up Agape Housing Estates nationwide and substantially reducing homelessness.

You can help financially and with support to source assets towards the living estate.
